Christmas!

Christmas Crafting

Lot's of handmade goodies this year! Next year my goal is to do at least one handmade gift for everyone on my list. Better start now, hehe!

This is an ornament I knitted for Ryan in honor of his first Christmas. I loosely followed this pattern, but decided to replace the doll with a mini version of the gnomes (see below)

These natural blocks were made by my friend Devana, the waldorf teacher that also runs the crafting workshops I have attended recently

Cowboy hat for Ryan, knitted by his aunt aida (Daddy is trying to show Ryan how fun it is to wear hats since Ryan keeps taking them off recently. Very unfortunate for us knitters!)

Kitty cat doll knitted by Grammie J and the model who inspired it

Gnome stocking stuffers. I followed this pattern

Apparently the hats are "just right" for chewing on :)

Newport Boat Parade

After living here for four years, we FINALLY made it to the annual Newport holiday boat parade this year. Supposedly it is one of the top ten holiday events in the U.S. However, I have to admit that although the boats that did participate were spectacular, I was a bit disappointed that there were so few. I guess decorating yachts with an inordinate number of lights is not a huge priority in this economy. ;) In any case, it was a fun evening!

Santa's Little Helper

Adorable present from Grammy J, and just in time for the holidays! (Bootees pattern by Elizabeth Zimmerman from the Opinionated Knitter, not sure about the hat yet)

Thanksgiving Weekend

Bell Family Photo

The entire Mustacich family also joined us for Thanksgiving but we haven't gotten a group photo yet! Hopefully we'll get one on Christmas. :)
