Handmade Holiday Roundup

My goal this year was to make a handmade gift for everyone in our family and miraculously enough, I succeeded! (Although I admit, December was quite hectic!!) Must remember to start earlier next year... Or I guess I should say this year... :P



For SIL Aida, I made Little Green Wristlets from "101 Designer One Skein Wonders", knit using Malabrigo Worsted


For MIL Jeanette, Garter Stitch Loop Through Scarf from "101 Designer One Skein Wonders", knit using Malabrigo Worsted





For my mom and sister, I made needle-felted angel dolls.





And for all the men in our families we made Apple Pie!!! FROM SCRATCH!! Even the crust!! Since neither Alex or I are good at baking (big understatement) we were very excited with how well the six (yes, SIX) pies we made turned out. And since we gave them to every family member, we got to eat apple pie for a week straight! Although we'll need to rethink that strategy next year... my waistline has definitely suffered! :P

Still to finish... Socks for Alex!! Little buggers are taking me forever but I'm hoping to finish soon! Luckily, I have a very understanding husband (probably because he has also has not finished his handmade gift to me, hehe! We'll shoot for Valentines day!)
